Peter Mwaura

Peter Ng’ang’a Mwaura heads MWC’s fintech, banking and finance as well as the aviation law practice areas. Peter has a rich background in these service areas having worked both in-house at KCB Bank Group and UBA Kenya Limited and in private practice at Anjarwalla & Khanna Advocates.

Peter leads MWC’s fintech, banking and finance practice group in the provision of legal services in, among others, traditional and modern finance, alternative finance, project finance, impact investing and consumer protection legislation.

Peter also has significant experience in the financial technology and financial regulation practice area. He has a good grasp of the regional legal regime applicable to the ever evolving fintech industry. In addition, Peter helps clients to comply with applicable data protection laws.

Peter has acted for airline operators, aircraft leasing and travel companies as well as various financial institutions in a variety of aviation law services. He specializes in all aspects of acquisition and financing acquisition of aircrafts, registration of interests in aircrafts and related aviation law services.
