Receptionist Job Description
- receptionist/front office management which includes manning the front office, welcoming and attending to clients at all times, communication to visitors etc;
- personal support/assistance to the partners;
- supporting team members in making outward calls from the office;
- managing the schedule of boardrooms and meeting rooms for use by team members and clients;
- receiving, sorting, recording and distributing all incoming mail and documents deliveries;
- recording all documents dispatched from the office;
- office administration limited to ensuring cleanliness of the front office and an orderly presentation;
- composing routine correspondence as appropriate and as time allows;
- assisting the partners with the procurement of various firm goods and services from vendors and suppliers; and
- perform other duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position.
Experience
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a mid-sized law firm.
- Basic computer skills and phone etiquette.
- Basic knowledge of the information flow and operations of a law firm.
- Basic drafting skills of letters and email correspondences.
- Basic record keeping skills.
- Basic knowledge of clerical practices, general office procedures, and filing.
- Sufficient human relations skills to communicate technical and sensitive communication to other team members.
