Some of our recent transactions include:
- Acting for clients in respect of conversion of titles and migration of records to the Ardhisasa portal.
- Advising real estate developers in respect of registration of sectional plans and obtaining sectional titles pursuant to the Sectional Properties Act 2020.
- Acting for clients generally in relation to sale and purchase of land, conducting due diligence, investigations relating to land fraud, obtaining consents, approvals and authorization to transfer as well as valuation, stamping and registration of the transfers at the relevant Lands Registry in Kenya.
- Acting for multiple clients in relation to change of user, subdivisions, amalgamation and extension of lease, including applying for the necessary approvals from County Governments, Surveys Office, Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning and obtaining new title documents.
- Application on behalf of clients for the necessary regulatory and other forms of approvals, consents, permits, and authorizations required for real estate transactions generally, including Land Control Board consents for agricultural property in Kenya.
- Acting for real estate developers in respect of both commercial and residential developments in Kenya, including preparation of letters of offer, agreements, licenses, undertaking stamping and registration of partial discharges and long-term leases, formulation of appropriate management structures for effective governance of the development as well as formation and representation of homeowner associations in residential areas.
- We act for a leading oil marketing company and a prominent hotel chain in Kenya by conducting extensive due diligence over potential sites and negotiating leases on their behalf.
- We have also acted for both landowners and developers in respect of joint ventures for residential and commercial developments in Kenya.
